Mr. Otis Lyons aka Vegas Don

Vegas has 20+ years of demonstrated leadership and experience campaigning for change for youth in under-resourced communities. A reputation for creating innovative and culturally relevant community education and youth empowerment programs. He has proven success establishing collaborative state, regional and local partnerships and in raising private and public funds in support of mission. His strengths are in strategic planning, marketing and negotiations to achieve organizational goals of advancing community awareness and education, youth health and wellness and public safety. 

    

In addition to his non-profit experience, Vegas also bring a valuable perspective that comes from growing up in poverty, facing adversity and later realizing his dreams of a better life. He believes that his personal life’s experiences makes him relatable and highly qualified to help break the cycles of injustice and inequitable health outcomes experienced by underserved communities.
